I would like to make a backend demo.

I really like what @dodo did with his Minimo theme backend demo and would like to know the best way that something like this should be done, a template selection, a second admin installation, or ???

I'm thinking I'd like to have a reset button to click rather than a flat timer, an inactivity timer, or anything like that.  I originally thought I'd like to restrict it to one user at a time, but now think it would be better to not worry about that, in case someone wants to check to see if two people working the system at the same time would cause problems.

Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's best to create a separate install for your demo.

You can limit demo user to specific pages in admin pane and maybe create some script for reset data like in demo.litecart.net

I think tim would be welcome to guide you.

Thanks for the tip in the right direction.  I'm sure Tim would help, but he's swamped with a project and should remain focused, I think.

I'll stumble through it eventually.

You need a cron job that resets uploaded images and database data.
And you need a vMod that disables some important things like disabling or uploading vMods. Email me for a copy.

Thank you @tim, I think you just saved me weeks of trial and error.
