label LiteCart Fan Fra Australia Medlem siden label 31 juli 2022 17:19 Hi, Doing an upgrade of Litecart, I thought I'd try again to understand less/min.css, but just can't understand what is going wrong. I have installed Developers Kit. As an example, for includes/templates/default.catalog/css/app.css (app.min.css), I want to change the max height of the manufacturers logo from 60 to 40: max-height: 40px;``` SCENARIO 1 (Download current "app" file with original max-height of 60px): * I upload a blank app.css file, and then goto app.css and the file will then generate a complete app.css file which I presume is generated from app.min.css > The file is generated OK (good) BUT I don't know where it is generated from. It isn't generated from "app.min.css" (above presumption), as if I delete "app.min.css", the "app.css" file is still generated. Where is it generated from? SCENARIO 2 (Modify the max-height from 60px to 40px): * In the "app.css" file, I change the max height from 60 to 40. I then goto "app.min.css" hoping the "app.min.css" file will be regenerated from "app.css" file. But it's not. Instead the "app.css" file is changed back to having a max height of 60. * I have also tried: after uploading the "app.css" with the max-height of 40, going to "app.min.css". The same thing happens - both "app.css" & "app.min.css" are regenerated with a max-height of 60. Can someone please help me understand what I'm doing wrong? Thanks a lot.
tim Founder Fra Sweden Medlem siden tim 1 aug. 2022 03:41 What did you choose during install? If you chose to roll with .css then the .less and .min.css files are deleted. Is the web browser requesting the .min.css files? Did you press Ctrl + F5 to hard reload the page? Developer Kit only regenerates on hard refresh, which also empties your cache.
label LiteCart Fan Fra Australia Medlem siden label 1 aug. 2022 19:30 Thanks for the reply. Originally the website was with .css. But then when I upgraded it, I changed it to .less/.min.css and I noticed the .css file had been removed and replaced with the .min.css. I had tried the Ctrl + F5, but maybe I didn't do it enough after replacing the files. I will try again next time I need to make a change to the .css. What I ended up doing was using two websites to unminify, and then re-minify after making changes, which ended up solving my problem :) https://unminify.com/ https://www.toptal.com/developers/cssminifier
tim Founder Fra Sweden Medlem siden tim 1 aug. 2022 22:15 I think you can perform an upgrade again to change it back to the .css versions. If you do so you will need to upload all the template files before performing the upgrade. This is what the upgrade does to arrange things for you. https://github.com/litecart/litecart/blob/ba30c87b4bd78e842bc93f93264e7fa34f5b014f/public_html/install/upgrade.php#L241-L262
