Would a booking add-on be of interest?

Back in the beginning of 2020 I was almost done with a pretty cool scheduling script for our great local library's tech lab.  Then Covid hit and everything shut down, and I abandoned the project.

But I was thinking that perhaps the LC platform could be used to make reservations in makers labs.  It seems that would be an excellent venue, a group of makers, to really appreciate a DIY speed cart like LC.

Any thoughts?

I would recommend a booking system as they are made for that purpose out of the box.
If you know your way around code, I have the naked LiteCore which is LiteCart stripped of all the e-commerce things.
Or do you want to add this as a feature along side an e-commerce catalog?

A standalone LiteCore sounds like what I'd like to try it with.  If a Maker wanted the eCommerce part [s]he could just install LiteCart in a different directory. I've thought about our local farmer's market here and wondered about making a catalog only site where merchants could have access to their (and only their) admin section to post a page.  Maybe it would work for that too.

I actually have two add-ons that are probably 80-90% ready, and another maybe half way there, so this is just something to think about for now.

And I still haven't set up my big 3D printer or unboxed my new embroidery sewing maching...

Thanks Tim.

Ok, finish your projects first and email me when you need access to LiteCore.

Excellent! I'll finish just the priority sort and product recommender, and then go for LiteCore.  It could help this old dog understand the platform better, all that eCom stuff sure does fill up the code space.

But I sure am committed to LC, originally my plan was to make a single add-on work for all the carts offered in cPanel, and keep track of time and effort or each for data for a shopping cart recommender.  Fortunately I happened to choose LC as the first victim. Spent months doing free work for a potential client before he decided Shopify was a better fit for him.  But by then I'd learned a fair amount about the platform and that I had fallen for LC. Now I don't want to do add-ons for any other cart system.  I think LC is an undiscovered gem, at least it seems so here in the U.S.A.

OK, enough soap boxin', thanks again Tim

@mmwfrank In case you haven't seen it yet, LiteCore is available for download on Github.

Also, your booking idea sounds interesting. Are you still thinking about releasing it?
