fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 23 Mei 2024 10:54 Google failed the page indexing and give the message "Page with redirect". I have checked everywhere in the LC CMS (v.2.5.5) and there are no hyperlinks that could justify this failed indexing. I even see the .htaccess file in the root on my server as being correctly set by the cPanel. I also had my server systems engineer do a technical check which confirmed that everything is set up correctly on the server side. Is there anyone here who has had such an error message who can help me? I've been trying for months to resolve this situation and get my website indexed correctly in Google.

fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 23 Mei 2024 14:20 Thank you dodo for your advice. I really don't know what could generate such a message; every check with the various online redirect checkers found no errors. I really don't know what else to think.
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 23 Mei 2024 15:53 I agree with dodo. It looks like you have added a non-secure http:// website while your .htaccess could be redirecting to https, or maybe enforcing www.
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 23 Mei 2024 16:37 I would like to point out that according to my provider (known and absolutely reliable when it comes to PHP environments!) everything is set correctly in the cPanel. The only setting I've found that might somehow force some redirects is this; which was active. I have now disabled these (as shown in the image).
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 23 Mei 2024 17:26 That toggle is highly unreliable as it only checks for cPanel's own lines of code. And using that (or cPanels own .htpasswd management) can mess up your current application's .htaccess. A general rule, don't rely on doing htaccess tampering from within cPanel. Line 24 and 37 is what could interfere with domain redirections. https://github.com/litecart/litecart/blob/dev/public_html/install/htaccess
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 23 Mei 2024 20:47 Thanks Tim! Now these two lines 24 and 37 settings are disabled. I'll wait to see if anything changes with Google's next step results. I also created a report to the Google Search Console team. If this setting really disrupts the indexing, I will notify my provider immediately! But it's really strange because my provider's technical team is part of Github and should know about such a bug.
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 23 Mei 2024 21:33 Allowing non-secure requests, or using both www and non-www will eventually backfire. I recommend removing the Search Console property and add a domain validated one, instead of URL. Then always go with secure https:// and either www or non-www (pick one).
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 30 Mei 2024 07:21 Even the last setting I tried via cPanel doesn't seem to have changed anything in Google Search. Every online checker I've tried reports no redirect issues. All the tickets I've reported for months are still open today and have not yielded any response from the various departments. On March 6th I opened a complaint thread in Googe Help (https://support.google.com/) and I'm afraid I was right!
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 30 Mei 2024 08:33 Remove your website profile and add a domain validated one. You are viewing a profile for an unsecure domain, yes?
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 30 Mei 2024 10:40 I have no idea what you mean. The domain is officially verified by Google and properly HTTPS protected, as confirmed by Google Search itself (see screenshots). For months I have activated positions and followed verificationsprocedures in the various services (Business Center - Merchant Center - Analytics - AdSense, among others) linked to this domain reference and I am certainly not going to experiment and throw away months of work.
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 30 Mei 2024 15:34 When selecting this domain profile in the top left drop-down. Do you see that it says http:// for this website profile? If so, add a new domain name based profile instead of URL.
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 30 Mei 2024 15:57 All my domains are entered using the new unified system that applies to each protocol. And this has been the case for several years now; all the old http/https property registrations have been deleted and replaced with this new Select property type.
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 30 Mei 2024 21:29 Oh, excellent. I thought that was the obvious problem. Now I'm clueless.
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 31 Mei 2024 07:30 Now you can probably understand my frustration, which I expressed in the Google Help Forum since March and which has remained unheeded until today! Official complaint to Google
tim Founder Dari Sweden Anggota sejak Mei 2013 tim 31 Mei 2024 17:21 Ok, keep us posted. We could all learn from this case.
fritz Developer Dari Italy Anggota sejak Apr 2019 fritz 4 Jun 2024 07:52 I would like to end this thread with a very personal thought. After checking dozens of websites managed with different CMS and platforms, one after the other, all set up for Google Search in the same way as this rausch.it domain name shown here in detail, I have come to the conclusion that this is a Google bug or an intentional behavior of this mechanism. All domain names have the same "page with redirect" reports although their ranking is often different and in some cases primary and at the top of the search results. At this point, it would be nice to collect other experiences in order to get a more accurate statistical picture of this behavior.
