How to make Post Code not mandatory in checkout form?

Postcode is mandatory field in checkout form.
i have been trying to make it not mandatory after reading the forum discussions, but failed to do so.

kindly help.

To make postcode optional go to Admin -> Countries -> Edit Country and wipe out the required postcode format.
